I was trying a way to figure out how to fold the wing tip in on an SLE kite.
Doing a self rescue
I have found that once you roll over the kite on its back .
You go to the wing tip towards the direction you wish to go.
WITHOUT removing your safety leash . Clip you leash onto
the bridal where the pully is attached. Then you may let go and
as soon as you start making it towards the other side. You do not have to
worry about the side that you have to fold. It is being held by your
leash. All you have to do is move along the Leading edge a little
then the wind will do all of the work dragging you back to shore
very fast.

I have a great tip to help any one who is starting and kiteboarding without a board leash which is wise.
Once you have found out how to body drag up wind Here is a tip to make you save lots of time while trying to retrieve your board.
Before you change directions one way to the other while body dragging.
Bring your kite to the other direction before you change you body
position to the other direction. This will save to about 5 feet of lost
ground and will help you get you board much faster and easier.
And after you crash and lose you kiteboard ,Get into the body drag position
right away. The sooner you get into the body drag position the sooner you
will retrieve you kite board.

Kites are quite an expensive piece of equipment and do take a little help
for them to last a while. Kites when in the air have a very solid shape and do not shake around due to the air flow on the intrados of the kite.
Most people are supprised to find out that there kites are not lasting more than a year.
But taking care of it your kite will last up to three years.
Make shure that you wrap your kite up after your session so that the Sand,Wind,Dogs,Sun. All cause damage to the kite and may make it only
last a portion of what you want it to.
Kites are made from a thin material and all of the elements like the Suns U.V.
and the wind delaminating it on the beach while you take a break,Dogs running over the kites and making holes which weaken the kite, Sand which
when blown by the wind will destroy the leading edge like a sand blaster.
If you want the kites to last .After Each session wrap it up and take it out of the sun and your kite will last much longer and stay crisp.

As we get ready to head south Down Under I am tuning my gear before i leave.
After quite a few kite crashes I have found numerous holes in my kite that
need Kite repair before leaving. After pointing all of the hole in my Kite Marked and
repaired of my Kites the needed to be Fixed.
I will be bringing my repaired 10 meter c-kite but the 14 meter kite did not need
much, just a little kite repair kit did the job no worries.
So I will be bringing a 10 meter,14 meter,an 08 directional from Ocean Rodeo
along with a Zen Board,Which are now much better.
So after I have tuned my Kites i am now to make sure my bar and lines are even
and and everything works good. I will be bringing an extra bar.
When we arrive in Perth we will heading into Perth and buy a vehicle to head North to
Geroltin to get the best conditions with some great camping next to the beach.
Really clean washrooms, running water, all you can eat seafood, wind everyday,
waves, all for 5$ a night.
