Strong Kiteboarding Wave Sailing Lower mainland

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Winter tends to bring some great wave sailing on the west coast of Canada, Vancouver Island wave kiteboarding can be unreal but quite violent. Winds tend to reach up to 35 knots and the waves can reach 4 meters. This makes for some exciting wave sailing here on Vancouver Island. Places like Long Beach, Nootka, Cape Caution and quite a few secret spots. Unfortunately, kiteboarding at any of these spots takes a bit of effort. But two hours of wave sailing in these conditions makes it all worthwhile at the end of the day.
