Heading South - Kiteboarding in Margaret River

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

We spent 2 weeks kiteboarding in Geralton and decided to get on the road. Perfect timing - right after we left, the north coast got rocked and flooded from a cyclone.

Kiteboarding Geraldton

We have made it to a place called Coronation Beach. This place is the center for windsurfing on the West Coast and a good kiteboarding location as well. The wind never stops and I guess it would be nice to wake up to no wind one morning. Kiteboarding here is great – from flat water to waves that can reach 4 meters on the outside. Bear and I are casually dropping into waves 4 meters in size. It is quite a rush getting into these waves that I would be scared shitless paddling into.
