West Coast Kiteboarding Competition on Vancouver Island

Earlier this year, some westcoast windsurfers and kiteboarders decided to organize a summer event at Nititnat Lake, Vancouver Island. From August 11-13, Nitinat Lake will be host to one of the first ever kiteboarding events in British Columbia. Nitintat Windfest will feature kiteboarding and windsurfing competitions, demo gear and latest kiteboarding gear will be available to try at this gathering of wind chasers.

Kiteboarding - July 2006

Now it is July and the kiteboarding season is well underway on Vancouver Island. Strong Kiteboarding has been teaching students how to kiteboard from the lower mainland and Vancouver Island up at Nitinat Lake and other areas of Vancouver Island. The conditions have been reasonable until this week.
